N Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower is a communication and observation tower located on Mt. Namsan. The tower has been a symbol of Seoul since it first opened to the public in 1980.

From the top, the tower offers great panoramic views of the city. Visitors can enjoy its cultural space with various performances, movies, exhibitions as well as upscale restaurants and snack bars.

I can’t remember the drama, but I’m pretty sure the first time I “saw” the Namsan Tower was in a drama. And I liked it. And now I really wanna go there. Have you already made your own list with what you wanna visit in Korea? If not, I think you should because there’s plenty to see there! And make sure you include Namsan Tower, too!

How to get there:

  • By Subway & Bus

Chungmuro Station Line 3 or 4 – Exit 2. Take Namsan Circular Shuttle Bus No. 2 or 5 (in front of Daehan Cinema) to N Seoul Tower. (Google Map)

  • By Subway & Cable Car

Myeongdong Station Line 4 – Exit 3. Walk for about 15 minutes following the street on the right side of the Pacific Hotel. The cable car boarding place will be seen ahead.

How to make Kimchi

Ingredients:

  • 800g – Napa Cabbage (Cut into Bite Sized)
  • 5-6 Tea spoons – Salt or Sea Salt
  • 1 Onion – Thinly Sliced
  • 1/2 Medium Carrot – Thinly Sliced
  • 3 Table spoons – Korean red pepper powder aka Gochugaru, Korean red pepper flakes
  • 3 Tea spoons – Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tea spoons – Sugar
  • 3-4 Tea spoons – Fish Sauce
  • Salt to Taste (If needed)

Tips:

  • Your Kimchi will take around 4-10 days to ferment depending on where you live and how warm the room is.
  • Don’t open the Kimchi jar for 4-5 days (it will slow down the fermentation process).
  • After 4-5 days check it and if it’s not fully fermented, then let it ferment for a few more days and check again.
  • Once it’s fully fermented, store it in the fridge.
